Set beneath the century oaks of a historic Raleigh estate, Merrimon Wynne House came alive for a spring showcase built on soft botanicals, jewel-toned velvet, and an eye for unscripted elegance.
Jeff and Stasia first stood in front of my camera in the spring of 2023 for their engagement session. Almost a year later, on March 15, 2024, they married at Seven Paths Manor in Spring Hope, North Carolina.
The afternoon unfolded in a series of first looks. Stasia shared the first with her bridesmaids and the next with her dad, before a quiet moment alone with Jeff. Portraits with the wedding party and family followed, filled with the easy laughter of people who have known each other for years.
The ceremony began beneath soft, overcast skies that wrapped the estate in an even, gentle light. It held the moments I love most: the look on someone's face as they watch the person they admire most make a promise. Cocktail hour brought everyone back together while we stole a few more minutes for newlywed portraits.
The evening opened with their grand entrance and first dance, then Stasia's dance with her father and Jeff's with his mother. Toasts and celebration carried the night, and we slipped out once more after dark for a final set of nighttime portraits.
